This feature is most often used on university campuses and military installations to create chargeback ‘invoices’ for reimbursable and self-supporting activities. Sub-meter readings can be keyed or imported from meter reading systems. You can create ‘virtual’ meters and bills via a powerful built-in scripting language. ‘Virtual Bill’ scripts let you create bills (i.e. invoices) from sub-meter readings, % splits or more complex formulas. Costing can be done via rate schedule or simple unit costs. All scripts are date-stamped and versioned for a transparent audit trail. This feature also includes three canned invoice report templates. Please note that EnergyCAP is not a metering or data acquisition system, and is not connected to metering equipment. Meter data must be acquired/logged by another system and then imported into EnergyCAP. This process can be automated.

The virtual bill processor creates bills from sub-meter readings and sub-meter formulas.

Virtual bills are created by embedded VB scripts which provide unlimited flexibility for logic and mathematical formulas.

EnergyCAP allows for quick and easy set up of meter reading routes and monthly reading entries.
