Accruals Basic

The Accruals Basic Session provides an explanation of accruals and the kinds of accrual options available to EnergyCAP users. A process for using the BL33 accrual report to generate accrual bills is described in detail.

Accruals Advanced

The Accruals Advanced Session discusses the advantages of the EnergyCAP accruals module in comparison to the accruals report. The accrual process is described in detail. The video also explains how to turn off accruals for any specific account.

Chargeback Basic

Provides an introduction to Chargebacks and how they are typically used in EnergyCAP. Walk through a simple Chargeback scenario, identifying EnergyCAP components used to create Chargebacks. Topics include Bill Splits (utilizing “phantom” submeters), Submeters, Calculated Accounts, and Virtual Accounts. There is also a "how-to" session on using EnergyCAP general ledger fields to distribute charges properly for AP interfaces, and an introduction to the EnergyCAP Invoice report BL07.

Chargeback Advanced

Includes a review of topics presented in the Basic Chargebacks video, as well as information regarding common Chargeback scenarios. Discusses Bill Splits (utilizing “phantom” submeters) and Calculated Accounts and Submeters in greater detail. Provides a "how-to" on entering/importing submeter readings, and provides information on Virtual Accounts and account scripts. Concludes with a discussion of the chargeback workflow process, the A/P interface, and how to use reports and custom spreadsheets for sharing chargeback information.

Bill Entry

Discusses the bill entry procedure in EnergyCAP. Includes bill entry prerequisites, using the Work Flow Wizard, choosing a bill entry template, selecting a directory/folder for associated bill images. A step-by-step bill entry process is performed for electric and gas commodity meters.
