Explains what a template is, where to find templates in EnergyCAP, and how templates are used to help store billing data. Covers template versions and template effective dates, and account/meter assignments. Discusses considerations involved in creating or adapting templates.

Templates Advanced

Discusses the Unit System in EnergyCAP and how it relates to templates, how to create and add new items to templates, how and why to import or export templates, and how to test templates you’ve created to ensure that they are functioning as expected.

Unit System Basic

The Unit System Basic Session provides definitions of the terminology adopted for using and customizing the unit system. It also provides examples for performing basic tasks such as adding a new commodity, setting up equivalencies, creating observation types, adding unit conversions, and setting a global equivalency. The video closes with an example of how to set up a bill template using line items for a newly-created commodity.

Unit System Advanced

The Unit System Advanced Session provides examples of common unit system customization errors, and explains correct procedures for setting up unit conversions, changing the common rollup unit, using the Administrator, and changing the global rollup.
